 Hi Francine, We had a wonderful stay at La Maison Bleue. The house was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay. and the town of Riquewihr very much. we really enjoyed ourselves and the house was everything we have imagined. A long letter and beautifull pictures "Liebe Familie Klur, wir haben die Zeit bei Ihnen sehr genossen, besonders in Ihrem Haus in Beulotte. Anschließend waren wir noch für eine Woche in den Schweizer Alpen. Das Haus dort war ein kostspielig umgebauter Ziegenstall, doch das Mobilar war lieblos und billig ausgewählt und eingekauft. Da haben wir nach unserem wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Ihrem Domizil noch einmal gemerkt, wie detailliert liebevoll Sie Ihr Haus eingerichtet haben. Es war ein Wohlfühlen, welches wir empfunden haben, der besonderen Art. Pferde und Fische, das tägliche Füttern und deren Anwesenheit haben wir sehr genossen. Teiche, tausend Stück an der Zahl, wir verlassen uns auf offiziell veröffentliche Zahlen, in denen sich das Licht auf vielfältige Weise widerspiegelte und die ich in vielerlei Facetten fotografierte, Pilze, besonders leckere Steinpilze wuchsen im Wald, meine Partnerin wollte nach ein paar Tagen, wir hatten in Riquewihr und Umgebung auch schon etliche gefunden, keine Pilze mehr essen. Ihre Beulotte-Kücheneinrichtung war hochwertig und das Kochen hat uns große Freude bereitet, zumal wir ja Vegetarier sind und Essen gehen in dieser Region gar nicht so einfach ist, bezogen auf die Fleischlastigkeit des Essens. Die Wallfahrtskirche in Ronchamp hatten wir vor etlichen Jahren mit einem Umweg von ca. 200 Kilometern schon einmal besucht, damals war das Licht recht milchig und gute Fotos waren so gut wie nicht möglich. An diesem Tag, an dem wir dieses tolle Bauwerk besuchten, gab es einen wundervollen blauen Himmel und ich konnte die Fotos nachholen, die mir damals nicht so gelungen sind. Ihr Wein schmeckt äußerst lecker, besonders genossen haben wir den Cremantsekt aus dem Elsass, ein tolles Stöffchen! "

With one more...." We would like to say thank you to you once again for your kindness and hospitality towards all us - it was a new experience for us visiting you and Alsace with Henrik and his family. A very special and emotional feeling visiting Maison Bleue now with Noel. So many good memories came back from our own vacations in the house over the years. So now introducing Alsace and the Klur family to the 3. Generation of the Læborg dynasty was a very big and nice thing - as you can see Noel is already familiar with the secret in measuring the grapes! It was nice to hear Henrik telling Nina about his experiences both about holidays and as a worker in the vineyard and how he showed Noel around in Riquewihr. So it was definitely a good start of a new area! " The 3 Laeborg generations.

 During this time the Family Luthi from Switzerland stayed at the pond house and appreciate the nature and the quietness of this place. Thanks for this picture ! "we had the most peacefull holidays of our life ! quietness and climate where perfect, hikking and dreaming, our dogs loved also a lot. Perhaps you should tell to your visitors that the 2 houses are not really independant, we didn't know about it. The stay was wonderfull and we certainly will come back to this region another time".
You are right, the houses are built "back to back" but the private outdoors are separate and Chez Marie is only occupied in july and august. Thanks for this and see you soon.

 Stay at Klur wine-estate in Katzenthal and enjoy the small garden with many herbs and spices, which is especially created for you, savory, mint, basilic, willow, laurel, sage, and many others... Here, the ancient roses have overrunned the parsley and the thyme... but perhaps will they soon be on your table ? In a vase or perfuming the fresh water you just have brought from our Grander fountain ? We also have planned to build a square vegetable garden next year with the help of Marie Nageleisen (she has written a very interesting book), we will talk about it later....

Klur wine-estate has just acquired this armchair to be relaxed, made in wood from local forests and which doesn't need to be treated. You can sit on it alone, with one or two personn and look at the sky, at the the top of the trees...Placed in our birds garden, next to the swing and to the hammock, you will enjoy it during your stay, dayly or nightly, and you won't forget your journey in Alsace.  "The welcoming could not have been better. We were welcomed warmly and we were explained all that we should know with great details. All the information given to us was very useful.We also loved the wine tasting tour chez le Vignoble Klur. We stayed at La maison Bleue, its location , its original decor was fanstastic, better than we expected all guests were comfortable and very pleased. One thing I found, specially me because I was the cook, was that the kitchen was a bit small to feed all these people. I guess that could not be helped. In any case I managed and we enjoyed numerous good communal meals on the terrace outside and in the lovely dining room. I really have no complaint nor do all our 13 guests. Au contraire, this vacation was for us all went beyond our expectation. I want to take the opportunity then to thank you for your taste, flair and vision which have allowed the success of this adventure". |

 It happened !! all our bedrooms are now full organic. You perhaps know our coton beddings and german wheat or millet pillows, now we changed all the matresses for natural products and you may choose between 100% latex, or latex and coco or latex and straw. We keep some traditional ones to combine with over matresses in organic coton or wool. All our beds are made from wood without sticks or mettalic parts, no treatment at all. We bought these different types at Ardelaine, Sanadorm, Allnatura, Loewe. We clean the bedings with Sonett products. If you want to try it you are welcome. - at la Maison Bleue: if you've invited friends to join you for the weekend in Alsace, or are on a family reunion, there are 16 of you, think of a gastronomic experience with culinary workshop, while the food is cooking take an apéritif on the balcony, then move to the set dinig table, service included, and the wine is succulent. The desert and the digestif can be taken in the living room (the kitchen and dinig hall will clean themselves!!). Eat and drink what you want, a couple of steps and you're already in bed !! The fact that our ancestors liked putting children to sleep on straw mattresses was not withoutpurpose because not only are they comfortable and help you relax and detente, they just naturally favor good sleep.
In the 10th century Hildegarde von Bingen already recorded the advantages of wheat: this cereal contains 90% silicylic acid that exerts beneficial effects on neck pains, arthritis, rhumatisms, head-aches, asthma (heat it in a ceramic pot found in your vacation apartment, and its effects are stronger). Try our buckwheat pillows (or black wheat) which isn't a seed but comes from the rhubarb family. It arrived in Europe after the 16th century and can be eaten (in bread without gluten, for example), used as a fertilizer, is good for your health (rich in magnesium, potassium, zinc and phosphorus), and you sleep well on it!! If you're coming to vacation with us, you'll have the opportunity to visit a bird garden run by the LPO (ligue de protection des oiseaux), "league for the protection of birds", at the vineyard or the maison des étangs. Youcan even create a bird protection refuge at your place, whether it's urban or rural makes no difference. The installation of a refuge consists in offering the birds a location, respect, and food. What we did concretely:
- no grass, but planting higher plants of different kinds in different places permitting insect populations to grow; protecting the vines on trees; reinstalling stone walls or piles of stone; keeping dead wood; planting honeysuckle for bird food in the winter. Plant indigenous species of trees and plants.
-set up love nests during the springs, water fountains, feeding points for the winter
-ensure that the plants are healthy
In the morning, afternoon, and night you'll be able to listen to the beautiful singing of the birds!

These paints are made from components of plants and minerals and do not release toxic substances, minimizing their impact on human health and the environment.  CHEZ GUSTAVE CHEZ GUSTAVE is a PANDA cottage, labeled by Gîtes de France and the WWF, World Wildlife Fund. Liek all the gîtes Panda, it is on the territory of le Parc Naturel Régional des Ballons des Vosges. For natural vacations for 2 to 4 people you'll appreciate the calm, firewoods, no TV, natural water from a source heated by solar....the house was completely renovated with organic materials and the air quality at 600 m is very good. From the house, discover paths and routes to walk or bike, fishing ponds, music in the summer at Musique et Mémoire, doughnuts, and the nearby théatre du Peuple in Bussang... in winter you can snowshoe and cross-country ski, in the call, pick mushrooms...by the pond be amazed by the richness of the flora and fauna. One of our guests thought there was a problem with his ears because he didn't hear anything- it's peaceful, there's nothing to hear!! These places are becoming more and more difficult to find.

| Le Plateau des 1000 Etangs, the 1000 ponds region is located in the south part of the Vosges Mountains called "Vosges Saônoises", Region Franche Comté. It looks like a little Plateau of 12 miles long and 15 miles large with more than 1500 ponds ! A very special place for geology, fauna and flora and it is the reason why it was classified Natura 2000 in order to be protected more an more. Birdwatching, walking, biking, dreaming....it is a really authentic part of France for nature lovers. There are not a lot of possibilities to stay on the plateau but there are some vacation holiday houses to rent. |

They are all located in the Natural Park of Vosges Mountains and each owners has his speciality: solar energy, orchards, biotops, discoverypaths, dry toilets, wind energy etc...and there is even a Hotel for insects !! Want to know how to build one....
The construction is easy, and it's great if you're looking for ideas for a family Sunday with the kids....put it in your orchard, your garden, or on your terrace and you will see that a lot of very usefull insects will book a room. This one is at the Pond House, one of the holiday cottages of this association located in Beulotte St Laurent (Plateau of the 1000 Ponds).

 Sie haben mit "Chez Gustave" und "Chez Marie" einen "place merveilleux" geschaffen. Meine Frau und ich waren ganz begeistert, als wir die Umgebung mit dem kleinen Teich gesehen haben. Wir haben dann auch sehr schnell "Freundschaft" mit den beiden Pferden in der Nachbarschaft geschlossen. Madame und Monsieur Colilieu waren sehr nett und haben uns alles sehr freundlich erklärt. Die Umgebung ist sehr einsam aber sehr fabuleuse. Telefonieren war schwierig, weil mein Mobiltelefon fast nie ein Netz (pas de réseau) gefunden hat. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit ihrem Häuschen, für das schlechte Wetter können Sie ja nichts. Es ist auch eine sehr sympathische Idee, ein Brot für die Gäste zu reservieren, vielen Dank dafür.Wir haben "ganz heimlich" durch das Fenster nach "Chez Marie" gesehen, auch das sieht sehr sehr schön aus und da kommen wir auch mal hin. Hallo Francine, Es hat uns allen sehr gut in dem Haus gefallen - ich werde es weiter empfehlen! Die Idee mit dem Brot fand ich schön, allerdings haben wir das Brot einen Tag verspätet geholt weil wir es falsch verstanden hatten. Auch ist das Bistro im Dorf wirklich nett. So weitermachen! Wir sind gut nach Hause gekommen und hatten einen tollen Urlaub in "Chez Marie"! Tout etait parfait, il ne faut rien changer! Les enfants ont adore le petit lac et son bateau - ils se sont meme bainges plusieurs fois et l'eau etait glaciale!! La maison est tres, tres charmante, chaque piece etant differente et toujours comfortable.....Alors, merci beaucoup et a bientot! Sabine Lindner

La famille Sell est venue de l'ouest des Etats Unis au grand complet séjourner à Katzenthal pendant deux semaines pour essayer de retrouver les traces de l'un de leur ancêtres parti d'Alsace au début du 19e siècle et partager un peu du mode de vie du village.
We are back home and hope that your harvest will be good in spite of the difficulties. We would love to come to help with the harvest. Perhaps next year. I have other cousins here who are eager to come to Alsace as well, and we all hope to return to you. green key an international network for green holidays
La Clef Verte, an environmental label for tourist lodgings was just awarded to the Vignoble KLUR . It is a label of environmental management run by the Fondation pour l'Education à l'Environnement since 1998. It covers campsites, hotels, and cottages for environmental initiatives.
